Job Summary

The Seed and Seed Treatment Associate oversees the regional seed warehouse that supplies the Liqui-Grow locations and the surrounding areas around the Quad Cities. This role involves managing the logistics and operations of the seed warehouse. The associate is responsible for placing orders per salesmen's requests, sorting seed, treating seed, and assisting with the ongoing logistics of inventory between locations. The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in the distribution and treatment of seeds for retail locations and typically reports to the Seed and Seed Treatment Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the regional warehouse:

    • Inventory management

    • Seed sorting

    • Seed treating

    • Organization of the warehouse

  • Engage in training sessions and activities centered on seeds and seed treatment.

  • Help prepare sales forecasts for all seed brands.

  • Support seed training and product launches for seed brands and treatments.

  • Aid with logistical knowledge when ordering, shipping, and returning all seed from desired locations.

  • Assist in the development of our warehousing project.

  • Assist in sorting, organizing, and distributing seed.

  • Establish individual sales objectives and measurable outcomes, and assist with creating location sales objectives.

  • Help update data and results related to seed brands and location plots on the company website.

  • Support seed plots at retail locations, along with seed dealer and Liqui-Grow field signage.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record

  • CDL is preferred but not required

Location & Travel

  • This position is full-time, on-site, at our Liqui-Grow of Eldridge location

  • Requires 25%-50% travel (seasonal) daily to other Liqui-Grow locations

  • 0 < 5% overnights

  • Occasional overtime required (seasonal)
